“Why Facts Don’t Change Our Minds” written by Elizabeth Kolbert explains that the research in Stanford University reveals the biasedness of the mind (Kolbert). The group people are divided in two groups and are instructed to categorize the suicide notes which are genuine and which are fictitious (Kolbert). It seems that a genius group end up choosing all the right notes and the lower score group perform not much like the genius one (Kolbert). Once they have been told that this is entirely misleading because the real results are withheld and now it is time to reveal it (Kolbert). The group with the highest scores seemingly denies the fact and they try to establish that they perform quite well and the other group believes that they perform worst.
